Who doesn’t read books? If you are reading this, at least it shows that sometime or the other, you have read a book!
My favorite authors include Alistair MacLean, John Grisham, and Eric Segal.
Alistair MacLean being my favorite. Many people have accused MacLean of being conducive to the growth of the “Alistair MacLean syndrome.” That is, when an author is unable to match his earlier works. That is not so, and it is being very selfish calling MacLean such names. In case you do not know who MacLean is, remember The Guns of Navarone, Where Eagles Dare, Force 10 from Navarone, Puppet on a Chain, and of course, Ice Station Zebra!
These pages (I hope) are useful in remembering MacLean who died in 1987, depriving the world of a great author |
